Children are initially assigned to a class based on their age, skills, and overall level of development as evaluated by the Head of School and Lead Teachers involved. Normally, all children enrolled are advanced to a new class at the beginning of each school year in the fall. However, at CES, our primary objective is to do what is best for the child, and in some cases it may be in the child's best interest to be advanced or retained, regardless of age.
STANDARD CLASS ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES
-
Children who will be three years old on or before September 1st may enroll in the three-day program on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:00am - 1:00pm. Children will need to be toilet-trained in this program.
-
Children who will be four years old on or before September 1st may enroll in the five-day program, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 1:00pm.
-
Children who will be five years old on or before September 1st may enroll in the five-day Kindergarten program, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm.
The Head of School of CES reserves the right to make exceptions to these guidelines as deemed appropriate based on the social, intellectual, and physical skills and development level of each child.
Students have been enrolled ONLY when the financially responsible party and CES have completed the enrollment package. If for any reason a student must be withdrawn from the school, a letter to that effect should be sent to the Head of School as soon as possible. No tuition is refunded, and it is understood that the financially responsible party assumes responsibility for the entire year. However, if the vacancy can be filled, the financially responsible party will not be obligated to pay for the remainder of the year.
TERMINATION OF ENROLLMENT
Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to the following:
-
CES, in its sole discretion, determines it is unable to meet the needs of the child, or that it is not in the best interest of the school or other children enrolled to have the child continue in attendance.
CES retains the sold right and responsibility to determine any disputed factual matters regarding termination of enrollment.
